This heavenly appetizer doesn't need to be an indulgent cheat snack– this easy Keto queso is super simple to make, tastes fantastic, AND when you use our Original Creamer, it offers all of the functional benefits of grass-fed butter, grass-fed whey protein, and MCT oil.
The addition of sautéed onion and red pepper in this recipe makes the queso thick and hearty. Pair it with some grain-free chips or raw veggies for an epic appetizer the whole room will rave about, or use it as a topping on your favorite taco salad or protein of your choice. There's no wrong way to eat some queso.

Quick + Easy Keto Queso
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. grass-fed butter
- 1 small white onion, diced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 - 1 cup Picnik Original Creamer (start the recipe with 1/2 cup and you can always add more at the end of you would like it a little thinner)
- 1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup gruyere cheese, shredded
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 tbsp. cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 avocado, diced
Step 1: Melt butter in sauce pan over medium heat.
Step 2: Add diced onion and pepper and sauté until onions are translucent.
Step 3: Add creamer and bring to a low boil for 1 - 2 minutes.
Step 4: Add shredded cheese and mix thoroughly for a minute or so. You can let the cheese bubble then mix and turn off heat. The cheese will melt quickly. Pour into a serving dish alongside your favorite dipping agent ;).
